General Office Questions
Its important to us that you have answers to all of your questions. We have listed
a few of our commonly asked questions. However, if you need some additional information,
dont hesitate to contact us. Thanks for visiting us at Bonham Dental Arts!
1) How long is a new patient visit? What will happen?
Your first appointment with us will take about 1 hour. A member of our front office
team will review your paperwork and discuss the reasons for your visit, then escort you
to a treatment room to meet Dr. Bonham. After discussing your medical and dental history,
Dr. Bonham will conduct a thorough exam of your teeth and soft tissues. Well obtain
X-rays and take pictures inside your mouth. Dr. Bonham will explain findings, answer all of
your questions and discuss treatment recommendations. You will leave with a plan to achieve
the fantastic smile that you deserve! If you would like to include a cleaning and hygiene
appointment on your first visit, you would need an additional hour in the office for the
first appointment.
2) What if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
During business hours, you will be seen immediately or we will work you into our schedule
for the day. If your dental emergency occurs after our office is closed, call our main phone
line and follow the menu options to be connected to our emergency service. One of our dentists
will promptly return your call and arrange to see you if needed.
3) Im a new patient, and I will need to complete forms before seeing the doctor. Can I
get copies of any necessary forms to complete before the visit out?
Yes the forms you will need to complete prior to your visit can be found
online. When these are completed prior to your visit it
will reduce your time in the office.
4) Do you accept referrals?
Yes. We love referrals. Wonderful people refer wonderful people, so we look forward to treating
your friends with the same expert care we extend to you. We offer $50 off your treatment for a
referral. The biggest compliment to our staff is to get a referral from a patient.
5) What makes you different than any other dental practice?
Our number one goal is for you to have what we refer to as a WOW experience. A WOW visit is
defined by our five-star service and our top quality dentistry that exceeds your expectations.
It starts with a sincerely interested person greeting you when you call. Then, you will have a
personal introduction when you arrive. We make sure you are 100% comfortable with every procedure
proposed. We take care of all of the little things that can make a difference in our patients
day: like refreshments in the reception area, coffees, cookies and even music or movies for you
to watch during your visit.
We use technology and CAESY/ Guru educational resources to help aid those conversations and help
you see what were talking about for yourself. We build time into our schedule for personal
conversations with you that result in a powerful rapport and trust, allowing you to take confidence
in the excellent dentistry we offer. We are trained in caring not only about your teeth but who you
are, your desires and needs, and how you prefer to be treated. Dr. Bonhams dentistry is second
to none for those addressing comfort, life-long maintenance and/or the most elaborate cosmetic issues.
We could try to describe the difference all day, but we would love more than anything to show you!

6) I really dont like visiting the dentist. What can you do to help me relax?
We understand that many people are anxious about visiting a dentist. That's why we have created a
relaxing atmosphere. We will take the time to get to know you and understand your concerns, and then
alleviate your anxiety. If you have avoided dental care because of anxiety or fear of discomfort,
sedation dentistry may be the ideal solution to allow you to have essential treatment. We offer
everything from nitrous to oral sedation to conscious sedation. The type we use depends on the
procedures you are having and your own preferences. We will be happy to discuss the various types
of sedation with you. When you come in for your evaluation, let us know how you're feeling. We will
work together to create a calm, relaxing experience.
